I am very excited to have my first published article, featured in the newest issue of the Log Book, No. 42. The article documents the construction of the train kiln I built at Syracuse University. You can see pictures of the kiln’s construction by visiting the gallery section of my website.

Moon Phase Series
This fall I made a series of small platters that depicted the moon cycle on them. I finally got around to photographing them and though I would post a few. The two phases shown here are the “Full Moon” and “Waxing Gibbous”. All eight platters will be on exhibition at my MFA show in April.
Shows and Publicity
Well I have been very busy the last few months and have a number of things to show for it. I was recently exhibited in the 17th Annual Strictly Functional Pottery National for the second year in a row. I also have two invitationals exhibitions that open this week: the 3rd Annual Cup and Mug Invitational at The Artisan Gallery and Winterfest 2009 at Baltimore Clayworks. Also the December issue of Ceramics Monthly will have an article on the graduate program here at Syracuse were I’m attending school.
The Watershed Gala Wood Fire Benefit
Chris Gustin recently invited 125 of the best potters from the United States, Canada and Australia(including myself) to send work, to be fired in his Anagama Wood Kiln in May. Each Artist has generously donated their work to support the facilities and programs of the Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts. The wood kiln was opened on Saturday, June 6th. The exhibition, raffle and auction finale will take place June 20th. A select group of pieces from the firing will be auctioned on-line beginning June 12th and ending June 20th. You can find the work Here: http://gustinceramics.cmarket.com
You can also check out Watershed where I spent time as a resident and staff member before going to grad school.
